Glam-garage rockers Prima Donna deliver rollicking, street-smart sounds with a modern twist. Formed in Los Angeles in 2003, the band is comprised of singer/guitarist Kevin Preston, guitarist Erik Arcane, saxophone/keyboard player Aaron Minton, bassist “Lights Out” Levine, and drummer David S. Field. Two years later the band embarked on a European tour with like minded Texas Terri, offered their full-length debut Kiss Kiss for the Brunette label, and wrapped up the year opening for post-Sex Pistols project Glen Matlock & the Philistines on their U.S. tour. In 2008, as Prima Donna offered its sophomore record, After Hours, the band formed a friendship with Green Day, who enlisted Preston to join the touring lineup of Green Day side project Foxboro Hot Tubs. Radio airplay and U.S. tours with Eddie & the Hot Rods and U.S. Bombs frontman Duane Peters’ Gunfight the following year further raised Prima Donna’s profile, culminating in a support slot on Green Day’s 21st Century Breakdown world tour in Europe and later Asia.
Following Prima Donna’s extensive touring with Green Day, GD offered up their own Jingletown Recorders in Oakland for Prima Donna to use, and enlisted their head engineer, Chris Dugan, to guide the journey. The end result is the 12-song, Dugan-produced Bless this Mess, out in 2012 and precided by trhe single “Feral children” mixed by Grammy winner D. Sardy (Jet, Wolfmother, Slayer, Noel Gallagher, many more), and sonically calls to mind his most successful achievements.
During their european tour in 2013 Prima Donna stopped by Milan to record a brand new single, produced by Ette Gilardoni for Rocketman Records

I Prima Donna sono stati uno dei gruppi con un curriculum live dei più nutiriti fin dall’iniziodella loro carriera, avendo partecipato a svariati tour europei e americani in solitaria o come opening act di grandi artisti del passato e di oggi (Glen Matlock e Green Day tanto per citarne alcuni) alternado lunghi periodi on the road a una manciata di singoli e 3 album (After hours, Kiss kiss, Bless this mess). L’amicizia personale di Kevin Preston con i Green Day e la sua partecipazione al progetto Foxboro Hot Tubs ha portato i Prima Donna ad essere conosciuti in tutto il mondo come supporto ai Green Day nel loro tour mondiale, ma soprattutto ad essere prodotti da Chris Dugan nello studio privato della punk band losangelina. Sardy, produttore vincitore di numerosi grammy (Oasis, Jet, Rolling Stones e Wolfmother tra gli altri), ulteriore conferma del talento compositivo della band.
